We will try to bring joy to nation like Arshad Nadeem: National Test Team Captain

The captain of the national Test cricket team, Shan Masood, has said that they will try to bring joy to the nation, similar to what Arshad Nadeem has done.

In a press conference, Shan Masood mentioned that they are preparing rigorously for the Test series against Bangladesh and have learned a lot from coaches Jason Gillespie and Gary Kirsten.

The national team’s captain praised the Red Ball and White Ball coaches, saying that working with them has been a great opportunity. He emphasized the need to win as many of the nine matches in the Test Championship as possible.

Shan Masood also spoke about Arshad Nadeem, the national athlete who won a gold medal in the Olympics, calling him a national hero. He expressed that representing Pakistan in any field is a matter of pride, and they will try to bring happiness to the nation just like Arshad Nadeem did.

The Test team captain noted that there have been many changes in team management and that they haven’t played Test cricket in the last ten months. In the current setup, no one can be accused of match-fixing. Although they played well in the series against Australia, they couldn’t secure a victory.

Shan Masood acknowledged that Test cricket is the most challenging format. He has spent time in different dressing rooms, including with foreign coaches, and mentioned that players have experience playing league and franchise cricket. He emphasized that Bangladesh should not be underestimated, as they have an experienced squad.

The national captain concluded by saying that Pakistan will play Test cricket in their own style and aim to make the Pakistani cricket fans happy with their performance.
