Following the tense situation in the Middle East, the US Secretary of Defense has ordered the deployment of a missile-carrying submarine and the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln to the region.
According to the Pentagon, the deployed submarine, USS Georgia, is a nuclear-powered vessel.
Earlier, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin had spoken with his Israeli counterpart and claimed that Iran is preparing for a large-scale attack.
It is noteworthy that Iran has announced retaliation against Israel following attacks on senior Hamas and Hezbollah leaders.
