UK Minister’s Purse Stolen During Speech on Rising Theft Incidents

Dame Diana Johnson, the UK’s Minister for Police and Crime Prevention, had her purse stolen while meeting with British police officers in West Midlands.

During the annual meeting, the Labour Party minister highlighted that the UK is grappling with anti-social behavior, theft, and a shoplifting epidemic, and that the criminal justice system is in decline.

Ironically, during her speech addressing the rising incidents of theft, the minister’s purse went missing, a fact she discovered after the meeting.

According to police, a 56-year-old suspect was arrested at the hotel where the meeting was held, and investigations into the purse theft are ongoing.
