The three suspects in the murder case of 10-year-old Sara Sharif—Irfan Sharif, his wife, and Faisal Sharif—appeared in a British court via video link.
According to British media reports, the trial for Sara Sharif’s alleged murder is set to begin on October 7, with the case being presented to the jury on October 14.
It has been reported that the suspects fled to Pakistan just hours before Sara’s body was discovered, and Sara’s father reported the incident from Pakistan using an emergency number.
Deputy Superintendent Mark Chapman stated that the post-mortem report revealed old injury marks on Sara’s body, which altered the nature of the police investigation.
Sara Sharif’s body was found in her home in Woking, UK, on August 10.
Irfan Sharif, the stepmother, and uncle Faisal Sharif have denied involvement in the murder.
