Those endorsing pan masala are selling death,” John Abraham criticizes Akshay and Ajay Devgn

Bollywood actor John Abraham has criticized his fellow actors, stating that people talk about fitness and then endorse harmful products like pan masala.

John Abraham recently appeared on a podcast where he discussed the issue of film stars endorsing unhealthy pan masala products.

The actor said, “If I live my life honestly and practice what I preach, then I am a role model. But if I say one thing in public and do something else behind people’s backs, they will catch on to me.”

He further added, “People talk about fitness, and then the same people endorse pan masala. I love all my actor friends, and I mean no disrespect to any of them, but I want to make it clear that I am talking about myself—I will not sell death because it is a matter of principle.”

John Abraham also mentioned that the pan masala industry has an estimated annual turnover of 45 billion Indian Rupees, indicating that it has government support, which is why it is not illegal. He pointed out that this is why such products are being sold.

According to Indian media, several prominent Bollywood actors have endorsed pan masala, including Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Shah Rukh Khan, Tiger Shroff, and others.
