Sindh Government Colleges to Reduce Required Marks for Admissions

A decision has been made to lower the required marks for admissions to government colleges in Sindh for the first year of intermediate studies.

According to DG Colleges Dr. Naveed, the cutoff marks for admissions in various colleges have been reduced by 20 to 50 marks.

In a conversation with Geo News, Dr. Naveed mentioned that the new admission list will be released by August 23.

He also stated that some colleges have increased their number of admission seats, and due to a high volume of complaints, claim centers have been established in six different colleges:

1.DJ Science College

2. Government College for Boys Nazimabad

3. Government Degree Boys College Gulistan-e-Jauhar

4. Government Girls College Shahrah-e-Liaquat

5. Sir Syed College

6. Khurshid Girls College

Dr. Naveed said that a total of 169,890 students applied through the portal for admissions in the pre-engineering, pre-medical, commerce, humanities, home economics, and computer science groups, of which 167,309 students have been admitted.

He added that out of 114,700 applications for college admissions, over 98,000 students have been granted admission.
