Shakeel Khan Removed for Exposing Corruption in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government, Says KP Governor

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has signed the summary for the removal of Provincial Minister Shakeel Khan.

The KP Governor stated that he received the summary for Shakeel Khan’s de-notification from the Chief Minister yesterday. He was in Islamabad at the time and signed the summary as soon as he returned today.

He mentioned that by signing the summary for Shakeel Khan’s de-notification, he fulfilled the constitutional and legal requirements.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi asserted that Shakeel Khan was removed for exposing corruption within the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, saying that this is the fate of anyone within the PTI who speaks out against corruption.

He claimed that records of corruption are being broken in the province, and that corruption seems to be the mission and purpose of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government.

The Governor also said that when the provincial minister raised the charges, the Chief Minister should have resigned, but instead, he made Shakeel Khan the scapegoat.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi further commented that anyone who obstructs the provincial government is removed from the way, citing that during Pervez Khattak’s tenure, the Accountability Commission was also shut down.
