The services of IG Balochistan, Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, have been transferred to the federal government, and he has been directed to report to the Establishment Division.
In his place, the federal government has appointed Moazzam Jah Ansari as the new IG Balochistan.
Grade 22 officer Moazzam Jah Ansari was previously serving as the Commandant of the Frontier Corps (FC).
The Establishment Division has issued a notification regarding the transfers and appointments of officers.
Meanwhile, the newly appointed IG Balochistan, Moazzam Jah Ansari, met with President Asif Zardari, where the president emphasized the need for effective measures to improve law and order in Balochistan.
According to the Presidency, the President extended his best wishes to the new IG Balochistan.
