During a Senate session, PTI Senator Dost Muhammad, in a moment of fervor, referred to PTI founder Imran Khan as an expert in terrorism.
When Presiding Officer Irfan Siddiqui attempted to correct the PTI senator, Dost Muhammad insisted, repeating that Imran Khan is indeed an expert in terrorism.
In his speech during the Senate session, Senator Dost Muhammad said, “In our area, they say if a donkey gets lost, it closes its eyes, thinking no one can see it. I tell those in power to open their eyes and release Imran Khan.”
He further stated, “Imran Khan is an expert in terrorism. Open your eyes and release him.”
Presiding Officer Irfan Siddiqui then advised the PTI senator to reconsider his statement, suggesting that he should not say Imran Khan is an expert in terrorism.
Senator Dost Muhammad responded by saying, “You are from the opposing party, that’s why you are saying this. Imran Khan is even considered a mentor in Afghanistan.”
Irfan Siddiqui tried to correct him again, saying, “What you mean to say is that Imran Khan is an expert in counter-terrorism.”
Dost Muhammad persisted, reiterating that “Imran Khan is an expert in terrorism.” To this, Irfan Siddiqui replied, “Well, if you insist, then let it be.”
