The record of property taxes in Karachi has been transferred to the local government authorities.
According to a notification from the Excise and Taxation Department, the collection of property tax will now be managed by local government agencies.
The notification also states that the local authorities will receive assistance on this matter for the next three months.
Additionally, the property tax records for nine districts of Hyderabad will be included in the second phase of the transfer to local government authorities.
Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Memon stated that this reorganization will enhance the performance of the Excise and Taxation Department.
