Pakistan: Train Services Remain Disrupted in Balochistan Due to Rain and Terrorism

Train services in Balochistan remain disrupted due to rains and terrorism, causing difficulties for passengers.

According to railway officials, 15 days have passed since the terrorist attack on August 26 that destroyed the Dozan railway bridge in Bolan, leading to the suspension of the Jaffar Express and Bolan Mail train services within the country.

Additionally, the train service from Sibi to Harnai has been suspended since July 23 due to rains, and repairs on the Sibi-Harnai railway track have not started even after one and a half months.

The Quetta-Chaman train service has been halted for 11 days due to rainwater filling the tunnel in the Shela Bagh area of Qila Abdullah district.

Railway officials have stated that it may take a week to clear the debris from Shela Bagh and restore the Quetta-Chaman railway track, while the Quetta-Taftan railway section was restored on Monday after being closed for 15 days.
