Meteorological Department Forecasts Strong Winds and Thunderstorms with Rain in Karachi and Sindh

The Meteorological Department has forecasted strong winds and thunderstorms with rain across Sindh from today until August 31.

In Karachi, rain is expected to begin on Tuesday, prompting the declaration of a state of emergency.

The Mayor of Karachi, Murtaza Wahab, has canceled all leaves for the municipal staff and directed municipal services to remain on high alert.

A powerful monsoon system is expected to enter the country starting today, with forecasts of heavy rainfall.

The Meteorological Department has also advised fishermen to avoid going out to sea until August 31.

Additionally, heavy rainfall is expected in various regions of Sindh, including Tharparkar, Mithi, Umerkot, Islamkot, Nagarparkar, and Chachro.

Heavy rains are also anticipated in the Kirthar Range and the mountainous areas of Balochistan.

Meanwhile, rain is also expected today in Islamabad, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
