Lifetime Ban Imposed on Former PFF President and 22 Others

The Normalization Committee of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has imposed a lifetime ban on former president Ashfaq Hussain and 22 others.

The PFF Disciplinary Committee made the decision to impose the ban due to allegations of seizing the PFF House and forming a parallel organization.

Those banned by the PFF Normalization Committee include Syed Ashfaq Hussain Shah, Zahir Shah, Amir Dogar, and Sardar Naveed Haider.

Sharafat Hussain Bukhari, Naveed Akram, Rahim Baloch, Dost Muhammad Khan, Muhammad Noman, Rana Ashraf, Saeed Rasool, and Aziz Ullah have also been banned.

As a result of the ban, Aziz Ullah, Faqir Muhammad, Farzana Raoof, Muhammad Saleem, Tasawwar Aziz, and Sadiq Sheikh have been permanently excluded from football activities.

The committee has ordered all of these individuals to return all PFF assets, including official vehicles, within seven days. Failure to comply with this order will result in criminal charges being filed against them.

According to the PFF Disciplinary Committee’s decision, after a thorough investigation, the committee concluded that these individuals violated Article 70 of the PFF Constitution by forming a parallel organization, which goes against PFF rules and regulations.

The decision stated that their actions were deemed harmful to the unity and governance of football in the country, leading to their being declared “persona non grata” and being permanently banned from participating in any football-related activities.

The decision also mentioned that action was taken against those involved in the March 27, 2021, attack on the PFF House, which resulted in Pakistan’s suspension from international football and severely damaged the country’s reputation.

The attack led to the illegal occupation of PFF property, the embezzlement of over 4 million rupees, and the destruction of important assets.

PFF has directed all its relevant units and departments to strictly enforce the Disciplinary Committee’s decision and warned that any individual attempting to contact the banned individuals will face severe consequences.

The affected individuals have the right to appeal this decision within 15 days, provided they follow the procedures outlined under the PFF Disciplinary Code and Ethics.
