KP Chief Minister announces free solar systems for 100,000 households

The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has announced that 100,000 poor households in the province will receive free solar systems.

According to Chief Minister Gandapur, the free solar systems will provide up to 2 kilowatts of power and include panels, inverters, wiring, fans, and bulbs.

He added that installing these solar systems will reduce electricity theft and line losses.

The solar systems will be distributed to households registered under the Ehsaas Program.

Gandapur noted that while Punjab is only providing panels, his government is installing complete solar systems.

More than 20 billion rupees have been allocated for this project.
