Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Sends Letter to Punjab Government Over Lack of Security for KP Chief Minister

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has sent a letter to the Punjab government expressing concern over the lack of security provided to KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur during his visit to Punjab.

In a letter addressed to the Principal Secretary of Punjab Chief Minister Sajid Zafar Dal, KP Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Abid Majeed complained about the security lapse. The letter highlighted that while VIPs across the country are typically provided with security, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was not given any security during his visit to Faisalabad.

The KP government pointed out that it regularly provides security and protocol to federal ministers and senior officers from Punjab and other regions. However, no security was provided to the KP Chief Minister during his visit to Punjab.

The letter mentioned that the SSP Operations Faisalabad had been informed in advance about Chief Minister Gandapur’s visit, and considering the security situation, security arrangements should have been made.

The letter requested that the issue be brought to the attention of the Punjab Chief Minister and called for an inquiry into the failure to provide security. It also demanded that strict instructions be issued to Punjab Police to address this matter.
