A terrorist plot targeting American singer Taylor Swift’s concerts in Vienna has been foiled, and three individuals have been arrested in connection with the plan.
According to news agencies, three Austrian youths were arrested for allegedly planning a suicide attack at Taylor Swift’s concert in Vienna.
Foreign media reports indicate that the main suspect, a 19-year-old, is believed to be a supporter of ISIS.
Austrian authorities have stated that the arrested youths are aged 19, 17, and 15. Chemical substances and other materials intended for the attack were reportedly seized from the main suspect’s apartment.
Authorities confirmed that the 19-year-old suspect has confessed to planning the attack.
The U.S. Department of State has stated that they are in contact with Austrian authorities regarding the terrorist plot at Taylor Swift’s Vienna concert.
Due to the threat of a terrorist attack, Taylor Swift’s concerts in Vienna have been canceled.
Austrian officials confirmed that the concerts were canceled after security agencies verified the planned attack.
Reports suggest that Taylor Swift was scheduled to perform on August 8, 9, and 10 at Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadium, with an expected attendance of around 65,000 people each day.
These concerts had previously broken records for ticket sales, and the excitement of the fans at her shows had even registered as seismic activity on the Richter scale.
