Israel must be held accountable for its atrocities: Ishaq Dar’s address at OIC meeting

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stated that Israel must be held accountable for its atrocities.

In his address at the OIC Executive Committee meeting following Israeli aggression in Palestine and the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, Ishaq Dar warned that Israeli aggression in Palestine could engulf the entire region.

He condemned the killing of Ismail Haniyeh, noting that Pakistan’s National Assembly passed a resolution condemning the murder.

The assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran has further escalated tensions.

Deputy Prime Minister Dar highlighted that the situation in Gaza over the past nine months is evident to all, with Israel violating international laws in Gaza.

He criticized Israel for targeting schools, hospitals, aid convoys, and shelters in Gaza, and for blocking humanitarian aid.

Dar called for a ceasefire in Gaza, emphasizing the high expectations the Muslim Ummah has from the OIC.

He stressed that the world needs peace, not war, at this time.

Ishaq Dar urged everyone to play their role in stopping Israeli atrocities, asserting that Israel must be held accountable for its actions.

He reiterated that global peace is a priority and that Pakistan stands with its Palestinian brothers.

He also demanded that all routes for delivering aid to Gaza be opened.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister thanked the Saudi leadership for organizing the meeting.
