How Many People Use ChatGPT Every Week?
A new internet service has surpassed popular apps like TikTok and Instagram in terms of rapidly growing user numbers.
The artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, ChatGPT, developed by the company OpenAI, has been recognized as the fastest-growing app in history.
According to statistics released by OpenAI, 250 million people use ChatGPT every week. Previously, in late August 2024, the company reported that 200 million people were using the service weekly.
This means that within a few weeks, 50 million new users started using the service.
In June 2024, the New York Times reported that ChatGPT had 350 million monthly users. It is unclear how many of these users access the service for free and how many pay a monthly fee.
The number of ChatGPT users is expected to increase further in the coming months, as Apple’s AI model for iPhones is also based on OpenAI’s program.
