Food Shortages, Conditions in Palestine Worse Than Catastrophic: United Nations
The United Nations has described the situation in Palestine as worse than catastrophic.
According to foreign news agencies, UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric stated that more than one million people in central and southern Gaza have not received rations or food supplies since August, highlighting the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The UN spokesperson emphasized that the conditions in Palestine are worse than a disaster.
Meanwhile, Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported that Israeli forces are not allowing emergency polio vaccination medical teams to enter southern Gaza.
Additionally, 21 Palestinians were killed in fresh Israeli attacks on Gaza during the night and early morning, including one near Kamal Adwan Hospital.
Since October 7, 2023, ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza have resulted in over 40,800 Palestinian deaths and more than 94,000 injuries, with most of the victims being women and children.
