Flooding situation due to heavy rains in Eastern and Central Europe

Heavy rains in Eastern and Central Europe have caused a flooding situation.  

The water levels in rivers of the affected European countries have risen above the highest levels, and residents of border towns between the Czech Republic and Poland have been relocated to safer areas.

In Romania, various accidents due to rain and floods have resulted in the deaths of four people.

According to local authorities, 5,000 homes in Romania have been damaged by the floods following heavy rains.

Further rain is forecasted in the coming days for the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Germany, and Austria.
