Flag hoisting ceremony at Balochistan High Court, Chief Justice launches green courts initiative

Quetta: Chief Justice Mohammad Hashim Kakar of the Balochistan High Court hoisted the national flag at the court’s premises.

In his speech during the flag-hoisting ceremony, Chief Justice Kakar noted that despite limited resources, Pakistan has become a member of the atomic club.

He acknowledged that in some areas, the country lags behind in the global race.

He urged every institution to ensure fair treatment in accordance with the law and emphasized the need for respect for the law and constitution, and protection for minorities.

Chief Justice Kakar also launched the Green Courts initiative by planting a tree, stating that the country faces climate change challenges.

He announced that the Green Courts campaign would start today, involving the planting of trees within the high court premises, with all judges participating by planting a tree each.

Justice Kakar expressed the aim to provide prompt and affordable justice, and encouraged senior lawyers to open their chambers to junior lawyers.
