FBR Chairman Warns Officers Applying Pressure for Favorable Appointments

Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Rashid Langrial, has issued a warning to officers applying pressure for favorable appointments. He emphasized that using illegal means for transfers and postings will be considered misconduct.

He stated that officers who attempt to pressure the FBR for favorable postings will be immediately suspended, and disciplinary action will be taken against them.

The FBR Chairman expressed concern over the use of influence by officers to secure desired postings, stating that this culture is undermining the foundation of the institution.

Chairman Langrial highlighted that even mid-level career officers are seeking favorable postings through influence, which sets a poor example for juniors.

He further stated that the use of external influence constitutes misconduct. If an officer has a legitimate issue, it will be considered at the time of posting, but the officer must provide written proof of their concern.
