England team faces major setback ahead of test series against Sri Lanka
England’s team has suffered a major setback ahead of the Test series against Sri Lanka, as Test captain Ben Stokes’ participation in the series is now in doubt.
Ben Stokes was injured while taking a run during The Hundred league. Due to the absence of a stretcher, Stokes had to walk off the field on his own.
He was immediately transferred to the hospital, where the extent of his injury is being assessed.
It is important to note that the first Test match of the three-match series between England and Sri Lanka is scheduled to be played on August 21, and now the captain’s participation in the first Test is uncertain.
