On the third death anniversary of the Kashmiri freedom fighter Syed Ali Gilani, Ali Raza Syed, Chairman of the Kashmir Council European Union (EU), paid heartfelt tribute to the late leader.
Chairman Ali Raza Syed lauded Syed Ali Gilani for enduring long periods of imprisonment during his life in pursuit of Kashmir’s freedom struggle. He praised Gilani in strong words for his unwavering dedication to the cause.
Speaking at a meeting of the core committee of the Kashmir Council EU in Brussels, Belgium, on Sunday, Ali Raza Syed noted that despite facing numerous challenges, Syed Ali Gilani remained resolute in his mission and provided steadfast leadership to the Kashmiri people. He influenced three generations of Kashmiris with his tireless efforts, becoming a true hero and the authentic voice of Kashmir. He never wavered from his principles and beliefs.
Chairman Ali Raza Syed emphasized that Syed Ali Gilani never compromised on his noble goals, and his unconditional commitment and love for the Kashmiri people and the Kashmir cause will always be remembered.
He added that although Syed Ali Gilani is no longer with us, the impact of his inspiring leadership and monumental struggle will endure for a long time. Such great personalities are born only once in centuries.
On the occasion, a prayer was also offered for the elevation of Syed Ali Gilani’s soul.
Ali Raza Syed remarked that Syed Ali Shah Gilani dedicated his entire life to the struggle for Jammu and Kashmir’s freedom from India and remained steadfast in his principles. He stood like a mountain in support of Kashmiris’ right to self-determination, and his struggle is unforgettable.
