Asia’s Most Powerful Typhoon ‘Yagi’ Hits China’s Hainan Province

Southern China is facing Asia’s most powerful typhoon, “Yagi,” which has struck the coastal areas of China’s Hainan province.

Due to the typhoon, heavy rains have hit southern China, causing the closure of schools in coastal areas and the cancellation of hundreds of flights.

As a precaution, business centers, including the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, have also been shut down.

After China, the typhoon is expected to hit Vietnam today, prompting the closure of four airports in the country.

Before reaching China, Typhoon Yagi caused devastation in the Philippines, where 16 people lost their lives. After hitting the Philippines, the intensity of Typhoon Yagi has doubled.
