Two Suspects Involved in DSP Ali Raza’s Murder Killed in CTD Operation in Sher Shah
In Karachi’s Sher Shah area, two suspects involved in the murder of DSP CTD Ali Raza were killed in an operation conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD). The terrorist group Al-Fajr had claimed responsibility for Ali Raza’s murder.
According to CTD officials, the deceased terrorists were identified as Qasim Rashid and Usman, who had martyred DSP Ali Raza in Karimabad earlier this year. DSP CTD Raja Umar Khitab stated that two suspects who were tracking Ali Raza were arrested, and their information led to the raid in Sher Shah, where the terrorists responsible for directly shooting Ali Raza were killed in an exchange of fire.
The suspects had 35 cases registered against them, including 25 murder cases. They were previously associated with Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and had recently joined the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan. A reward of 5 million rupees had been announced for information leading to their capture.
In July this year, two assailants on motorcycles opened fire on DSP Ali Raza’s vehicle in Karimabad, resulting in severe injuries to both Ali Raza and his guard. They were immediately taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where both succumbed to their injuries.
