Appeals Against Six Death Sentences of Chotu Gang Leader and 13 Others Rejected

The Lahore High Court Multan Bench’s special division has rejected the appeals against the death sentences of 14 criminals, including the leader of the Chotu Gang.

The special bench, consisting of Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan and Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry, issued the decision.

The Lahore High Court Multan Bench upheld the death sentences of six individuals, including the main accused, Ghulam Rasool Chotu, while giving the benefit of the doubt to six other accused, acquitting them.

The notorious Chotu Gang leader and 20 of his associates had been sentenced to death 18 times each.

It is important to note that a case was registered at the Achha Bangla police station under the complaint of Inspector Pervez Akhtar, involving the murder and abduction of the SHO and other police employees.

The Anti-Terrorism Court had sentenced Chotu Gang leader Ghulam Rasool to death in 2019, and he has been serving his sentence in Central Jail Multan since then.
