Asia’s Most Powerful Storm of the Year, ‘Yagi,’ Hits Vietnam After China

Asia’s most powerful storm of the year, ‘Yagi,’ struck Vietnam after wreaking havoc in China, resulting in various incidents that left four people dead.

In northern Vietnam, powerful winds tore off the roofs of houses, with 12 people missing and 78 injured due to the storm.

Earlier in China, the storm caused lightning, heavy rain, and winds of up to 145 mph, uprooting trees and leading to two deaths and 92 injuries.

Due to the storm’s strong winds, power supply to 800,000 people was disrupted. Storm Yagi made landfall in China’s Henan province.
