Three children tragically drowned in rainwater that had accumulated in Tarnol, near Islamabad.
The water had collected due to poor drainage in the area following heavy rains.
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, the children had gone to a garbage dump to collect paper, where the area had turned into a swamp. Among the deceased were one boy and two girls.
Rescue officials reported that when the brother slipped and began drowning, the two sisters jumped in to save him. However, due to the depth of the water, all three children drowned.
The bodies of the three children have been transferred to PIMS Hospital.
