Government’s Response to PTI Founder’s Jail Meetings: ‘Meetings Can Only Happen Through Someone’s Arrangements’

The government has responded to the unusual meetings between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and the party’s founder in Adiala Jail.

Prime Minister’s political advisor, Rana Sanaullah, stated that a meeting at 7 AM is out of the ordinary and can only happen through someone’s arrangements.

Rana Sanaullah mentioned that PTI’s entire propaganda regarding the jail has been exposed.

He also pointed out that Ghulam Sarwar Khan and others act with permission, indicating that they have no real intention of getting Imran Khan released. Aliya Malik, however, lashed out over the postponement of a rally.

During the discussion, Rana Sanaullah also spoke about the meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, describing it as cordial.

He mentioned that several issues have been resolved, and the remaining matters will be addressed in a meeting next week.

The Prime Minister’s political advisor added that a meeting between PPP and PML-N is scheduled to take place at Governor House on Sunday.

It is noteworthy that a joint committee meeting of PPP and PML-N has been called at Governor House Lahore on Sunday.

In the meeting with the Prime Minister, PPP expressed their concerns about being continuously ignored in the Punjab government.

The PPP delegation included Sherry Rehman, Naveed Qamar, and Raja Pervez Ashraf, while PML-N was represented by Ishaq Dar and Rana Sanaullah.
