Continuous Rise in Water Level of River Chenab, Flood Warning Issued to Residents

The water level in the River Chenab, passing through the Multan region, has been continuously rising.

As the water level increases, flood warnings have been issued to residents of the riverine areas, and many acres of cultivated crops have been submerged.

Meanwhile, in Rajanpur, 53 villages have been affected by floodwaters from seasonal streams, and in Jacobabad’s Garhi Khairo area, recent torrential rains have caused significant damage, ruining thousands of acres of rice crops.

Additionally, flooding in Dadu’s Gaj River has damaged the infrastructure in the Kachho area of Johi. In Nasirabad, Sohbatpur, and Jaffarabad, torrential rains have caused water pressure to increase in the streams and canals, resulting in breaches and submerging dozens of villages.
