The Education Department of Balochistan has released a report on the closed schools in the province.
According to the report, 542 more schools have been closed in Balochistan during the current government’s tenure.
The department stated that 16,000 teachers are needed to reopen these closed schools.
As per the report, the number of closed schools was 3,152 until May this year, which increased to 3,694 in 35 districts by September 2.
The highest number of closed schools, 254, is in the Pishin district, while Dera Bugti has the lowest, with 13 inactive schools.
