25 People Burned to Death in School Bus Accident in Thailand
In Thailand, 25 people were burned to death in a school bus accident, including 22 students and 3 teachers.
According to foreign media reports, the fire broke out in a school bus in the suburbs of Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, on Tuesday morning, while students and teachers were on board for an educational trip. The fire started after one of the bus’s tires burst, causing the wheel to ignite and quickly engulfing the entire vehicle.
The report mentions that there were a total of 44 people on the bus, including 38 students and 6 teachers. It is feared that 25 people have lost their lives, while several others were injured.
According to Thai police, 19 people were rescued from the bus and taken to the hospital, while 22 students and 3 teachers were trapped inside and burned to death.
The bus driver fled the scene but was later taken into custody by the police for investigation.
In response to the accident, Thailand’s Ministry of Transport has ordered an immediate inspection of all public buses within two months.
